I feel honored to announce that Islam Medical College has started accepting students for admission to first year MBBS program for the academic session 2011-12 (Batch-02).

At Islam Medical College, we are setting a tradition of excellence and innovation in medical education. We are determined to stay ahead of the times with our newly revised medical curriculum. The PMDC curriculum for the Class of 2011 emphasizes themes of scholarship, civic professionalism and leadership right from the start and is taught in parallel with the basic sciences that underpin medical practice. The new curricular requirements also stress the generation of original knowledge, because the physician best able to evaluate new advances in medicine is one who has put his soul in it. In addition, we are proud to offer a robust clinical training environment which gives our students a diverse experience and an opportunity to rotate among two major teaching hospitals in Sialkot. Most importantly, we want students to be responsible for their own education, which creates habits of lifelong learning and equips them with the tools to access and evaluate new information.

The college's greatest asset is our dedicated faculty which continuously evaluates and improves our curriculum. Its goal is to develop our students into colleagues, and I am proud of its teaching abilities.

At this college my mission is to educate future physicians who will care for patients with competence, creativity and compassion, in a setting that fosters collegiality, leadership, and excellence in scholarship and research. Ultimately, we aim to improve human health and alleviate disease at the individual, community and international level.

Medical education is a never-ending, marvelous adventure, and we hope you will share it with us.

UMT Sialkot Campus

In view of the increasing number of applicants from different areas of the country who are choosing UMT for their higher studies, the management of the University has established a campus in Sialkot. The Sialkot Campus will not only cater for the educational requirements of the local community but will also facilitate potential students from adjoining areas.
The state-of-the-art campus building comprises of 85,000 sq. ft covered area. There are 5 floors with modern facilities including WiFi environment, capsule lifts, emergency exit stairs, separate cargo lifts and parking area. There is also a modern sports complex spread over 56 kanals.
The UMT Sialkot Campus was formally opened in Sialkot on May 02, 2012. It is worth mentioning that UMT has the distinction of being the first university to open a sub-campus in Sialkot.
ILM and UMT have maintained a regional office in Sialkot for the last 15 years. The opening of sub-campus marks culmination of long standing efforts in this direction, huge presence of ILM /UMT alumni, as well as very strong connection with leading players in business and industry.
